iPhone (iOS)
Install via QR code
- Open Settings then Cellular (or Mobile Service), and tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
- Choose Use QR Code, then point your camera at the QR code from your Simfiy order email or account.
- When the plan is detected, tap Continue and then Add eSIM to download the profile.
- Label the line (for example "Simfiy Travel") so it's easy to recognize.
- Choose your default line and the line used for data. Set the Simfiy line for cellular data while traveling.
Install manually (LPA entry)
- In Add eSIM, tap Use QR Code, then choose Enter Details Manually.
- Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code shown in your order (this is the LPA string, formatted LPA:1$address$code).
- Tap Next, then Add eSIM, and wait for the profile to download.
Enable data roaming
Go to Settings › Cellular › select the Simfiy line › turn on Data Roaming. This is required for the eSIM to connect abroad and does not incur extra charges — your plan is prepaid.
Android
Menu names vary by manufacturer and Android version; the wording below covers Pixel and Samsung. Look for similar options on other brands.
Install via QR code
- Open Settings then Network & internet (or Connections on Samsung), and tap SIMs or SIM manager.
- Tap Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead, then Next.
- Scan the QR code from your Simfiy order email or account when prompted.
- Confirm the download and follow the on-screen prompts to activate the plan.
- Name the eSIM and select it as your mobile-data line for your trip.
Install manually (LPA entry)
- On the Add eSIM screen, choose Need help? or Enter it manually if scanning isn't possible.
- Paste the full LPA activation string from your order (formatted LPA:1$address$code).
- Confirm and wait for the profile to download and install.
Enable data roaming
Go to Settings › Network & internet › SIMs › select the Simfiy eSIM › turn on Roaming. Then set the Simfiy eSIM as your Mobile data line so your trip data runs through it.
Troubleshooting
The QR code won't scan
Increase your screen brightness if scanning from another screen, or use the manual LPA entry option with the activation details from your order.
"Unable to add eSIM" or invalid code
Each QR code can usually be installed only once. If you've already installed it, the profile is on your device — check your SIM list. For a fresh, unused order, contact support so we can verify the profile.
Connected but no data abroad
Confirm the Simfiy line is selected for mobile data, that data roaming is on for that line, and that you're within the plan's coverage area. A manual network search or a restart often resolves it.
No service at all
Make sure your device is carrier-unlocked and eSIM-compatible, then toggle Airplane mode off and on. If it still fails, reach out — defective eSIMs are covered by our Refund Policy.
