Cookie Policy

At simfiy (the “Company” or “we”), we use certain technologies to collect information from our users through our websites and applications (the “Platform”) and other services. We refer to these technologies collectively as “Cookies”. This Cookie Policy informs you about the types of cookies found in our Services, their intended use, and how you can control them. Where our Services are used, we act as the Data Controller in accordance with relevant data protection legislation.

Data Protection Officer

We are committed to protecting your privacy and respecting your confidentiality. All issues related to personal data are handled by our Data Protection Officer. You can contact our Data Protection Officer by emailing support@simfiy.com.

What is a cookie?

HTTP cookies (also called web cookies, browser cookies, or simply cookies) are small blocks of data created by a web server while a user is browsing a website and placed on the user’s device by the web browser. Cookies may contain information about you, your preferences or your device, and are mostly used to make the site work as you expect. The information does not usually directly identify you, but it can give you a more personalised web experience.

Why we use cookies

  • Functionality — to provide features fundamental to a service, such as your language and currency preferences and session information;
  • Security — to authenticate users, prevent fraud, and protect you as you interact with a service; and
  • Analytics — to understand how you interact with a service so we can improve content and build better features.

How to reject or erase cookies

When you first visit the simfiy Platform, a cookie consent window will appear offering you a choice about whether to accept or reject cookies. You can click “Reject All” to reject the cookies, except for Strictly Necessary Cookies, which are required for the Platform to function. You can amend your preferences at any time.

Types of cookies we use

By usage period: Session cookies do not retain information on your device and are deleted when the session expires. Persistent cookies remain on the device until you delete them manually or your browser deletes them based on their duration.

By party:First-party cookies belong to simfiy and are placed by us on our users’ devices. Third-party cookies are placed by a third party through our website to help measure and improve site performance; these are subject to those third parties’ own privacy policies.

By category, the cookies we use include:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies — necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They do not store personally identifiable information (e.g., OptanonAlertBoxClosed and OptanonConsent, used to remember your cookie preferences, with a typical lifespan of one year).
  • Targeting Cookies — set by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites (e.g., _fbp, used by Facebook for advertising, approximately two months). Used based on your consent.
  • Analytics Cookies — used to track website visitors and behaviour to improve how the website works (e.g., _ga and _ga_xxxxxxxxxx, associated with Google Analytics to distinguish unique users). Used based on your consent.
  • Performance Cookies — allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our Platform. All information they collect is aggregated and anonymous. Used based on your consent.

Transfer of personal data collected through cookies

Third-party cookies and data will be shared with Google Analytics and Facebook, which are third-party data analytics platforms, and they may be transferred abroad.
