How do I install and activate an eSIM?
Follow the instructions below to install and activate your plan. The steps are similar on both iOS and Android.
QR code installation
- Open your eSIM details from the My SIMs tab and have the QR code ready on another screen or printed out.
- On your phone, go to Settings, then Mobile/Cellular Data, and choose Add eSIM or Add Data Plan.
- Select Use QR Code and scan the QR code shown in your simfiy account.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to add the plan and label it (for example, “simfiy Travel”).
Manual installation
If you can’t scan the QR code, you can enter the details manually:
- Go to Settings, then Mobile/Cellular Data, and choose Add eSIM, then Enter Details Manually.
- Copy the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from your simfiy account and paste them in.
- Confirm to download the eSIM profile to your device.
Activate your plan
- After installing, open Settings and select the newly added simfiy line.
- Set the simfiy line as your data source for Mobile/Cellular Data.
- Turn on Data Roaming for the simfiy line — this is required for the eSIM to connect abroad.
- Once you arrive at your destination, the eSIM connects automatically and you’re online.
