Will my phone work?

Two checks, thirty seconds. Both have to pass.

  1. 1 — Does it have an eSIM?

    Dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID appears beside the IMEI, the phone has an eSIM. On iPhone: Settings → General → About → EID. On Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM.

  2. 2 — Is it carrier-unlocked?

    A phone locked to one operator will refuse another network's eSIM. If you bought it on a contract and have never used another operator's SIM in it, ask your operator to unlock it.
